Friday Update =( v2

Hey guys..

A pretty terrible thing happened a week ago today - all of the data on my 1 TB Hard drive was lost - nearly half of all my data. ZREO was on there, but luckily not a few hours before the crash (literal) I had made a complete backup of ZREO, but I lost most of my Samples. Just got my replacement 1 TB HDD Yesterday and have been in the process of backing up and restoring all of my data, so no release this week. Check back next week for the Next song.

DAMNNNN, i hate hard drive loses… it is just a pain in the ass…

well, hope you didn’t lose much data, and better luck with your new 1 TB HDD

Dude that totally sucks! Especially now that I just read the full story. This is why I absolutely hate wires. Anything I can get wireless, I do. But jeeze 1TB and everything gone from it… I really don’t know what to say. What do you have backed up on there besides ZREO? Anything? But yeah really sorry to hear that and I hope everything gets worked out and that you can eventually get everything restored.

This is one of the reasons the Solid State Disc is becoming so popular, todays standards can only take 1.5 Gs. While an SSD can take up to 1500 Gs before something goes wrong. Theres no moving parts, so its quite resistant to shock. Only thing that is horrible at the moment is its price. You can get 120 Gb, but it will cost you about the same as a new high-end computer

Yeah, when SSD becomes a monetary reality, i’ll be the first on that bandwagon.

Yeah SSD is fast and nice but expensive as all hell. Once they become standard (meaning no more HDD or at least cheap enough to even consider) I’ll get one.
