This song is awesome! Are there guys chanting with the tubas at the beginning? Bravo!
Wow! And I’d must rather listen to something you did than the original game mp3s. Love the quality. I’ve been a fan for about a year and I can’t wait to hear more open symphony and some battlescapes ^^ Keep up the great work. Wish I was as talented as yous.
<3 Kirrima
Another great version of one of my favorite songs. ^_^
It IS an extended loop. The point is to make it sound like the in-game version, but better. That’s what most of our listeners (including me before I started writing) and practically every Zelda fan wants to hear. If you stray too far away from the original loop, it no longer is like the original, and the entire premise of ZREO is missed.
yey. finally a new song, this made my day
but kirrima made me curious, what’s going on with battlescapes???
I enjoyed it, especially the increasing tension/drama (what’s the word for that?) over time, but from what I remember of the Pirate’s Fortress this song seems a bit too dramatic.
Of course, Majora’s Mask as a whole was very dark, and the N64 wasn’t great at conveying emotion, so I could be wrong.
To disagree with the post above me, I think the N64 conveyed more emotion than anything since. The reason why we love Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask so much is because of how much emotion was put into them and how much we get from it.
Now, about Pirate’s Fortress. This theme is by far one of my favorite Zelda themes of all time. I have listened to the original that you wrote countless, countless times - I kid you not. I have even gone so far as to recording my own deep hums over the track (but didn’t do to well in mixing it). In all honesty though, I feel that your older version of this theme feels much more militaristic and refined. I recognize that you were a bit more experimental in the creation of this track, and I fully respect your incorporation of some rather unorthodox instruments and musical layering.
Gah! I still have this song stuck in my head at school! The drums are amazing! Try hooking this up on your surround sound system if you haven’t already people!

Yay! Finally something new! Pretty good samples, sounds both dramatic and dark. Is this the longest song you’ve ever released? 4:35 is pretty long seeming for a ZREO song. Nonetheless, 8.5 out of 10:
Good quality
Has feeling
Good ending, not really sudden
However, it’s sounds like an extended loop and not necessarily something I’d listen to multiple times; only on occasion.
